Pixel Details
Get the exact coordinate and the pixel’s band values. Use this to verify what the renderer is showing, read raw values for a pixel, or copy a precise location for sharing or downstream analysis.
When it appears: Contextual Details Panel → Properties tab → Pixel Details
Availability: This sub-property appears for the following raster sub-types:
- Panchromatic
- Multispectral
- Hyperspectral
- SAR
- Thermal
- Heightmap
What you can do
- Read the location (lon, lat) of the sampled pixel.
- See band values (for optical this is typically Red/Green/Blue; for other rasters, labels reflect available bands or channels).
- Copy the location to your clipboard for reuse in tickets, notes, or queries.
This panel is read-only. It reflects the pixel currently sampled in the viewport.
Troubleshooting
- Values look wrong or empty → Verify bit-depth, NoData, and that you’re inside the raster extent.
- Thermal or SAR units unclear → Check Metadata for unit and scale factors.
- Copied coordinate opens the wrong place elsewhere → Confirm the target tool expects WGS84 lon,lat order.
